cupcakes

Hailey and Aida got to help make cupcakes for Aida's birthday.  As you can see with a new baby in the house they have a little more freedom than normal.

Aida's Birthday Party

Who doesn't love a little hiding spot?

These two are great friends!

Even Sophie had fun at the dinosaur play land

Aida wanted a purple polk a dot cake...the inside was purple too.
This year instead of doing a party since we had a brand new baby Aida decided to go to Disney Land!  Well...almost she calls the Disney Store Disney Land, so we went to City Creek and had so much fun!  We met Grammy & Opi there.  Part of the fun was that Aida had $20 to spend, she went through the whole store looking for what she might buy.  She fell in love with the whole Cinderella family, I was about to say "no way", but when we saw the price we couldn't say no, and look at her face!  Now Aida would like to collect all the princess families...that would be a lot of barbies.  The girls have had so much fun playing with them!  Then we went to the dinosaur playground there for lunch and some play time.

It was a really fun birthday, I vote we do that every year.

Aida Is 4

How can you do anything but smile when you look at this face.  Aida is such a fun kid!  She is full of energy, so full of it that just like her sister did when she was her age she runs or jumps rather than walking.  Aida is always thoughtful trying to make sure that everyone is happy, when we go to the doctor's office without Hailey and she gets a sticker she always makes sure to ask for one for her sister.

I love that I get to have her for a partner all day.  I was trying to do a Yoga dvd the other day and Aida was right beside me doing it too, but she kept saying that we were not doing exactly what the lady on tv was doing.

Aida loves to be outside whenever possible.  We love our morning jogs, sometimes Aida brings her camera along and wants me to slow down so that she can get a picture of every house and animal.  The other day she said "Mom, stop.  The black door on that house looks so pretty, and they have lots of pretty things in their yard, they must really care about their house."  I love that she notices things like that.

Opi

I have the very best dad, we got to spend the day with him on Monday.  The girls adore him because he takes the time to do things with them that they want to do.  While we were there he offered to watch the girls while I ran a few errands when I got back the first thing I heard when I walked through the door was laughter.  He was downstairs playing with the girls and they were all laughing having such a good time.  I'm so grateful that he enjoys spending time with them because they LOVE spending time with him!
